RMS Beauty Review: Best RMS Makeup Products

RMS Beauty is one of the OG natural makeup brands started in 2009 by Rose-Marie Swift, a master makeup artist for 30 years. The RMS Living Luminizer was one of the first natural makeup products I ever tried. And I didn’t love it. But there are some rms makeup products I do enjoy, and I’ll be sharing them today. RMS Beauty values runway ready makeup performance and clean ingredients in their expansive line of foundations, blushes, eye makeup and even skincare. While the line is for the most part all natural, RMS does include some synthetics here and there. Overall, RMS has a stronger focus on natural ingredients than some other newer clean makeup brands like Jones Road Beauty and Tower 28. Unfortunately I’m personally not a fan of RMS most iconic product, Living Luminizer. I find it to look shiny on my skin, giving me a greasy / wet look.

RMS UnCoverup Concealer

My favorite RMS product is their UnCoverup Concealer. This is a great cream concealer if you’re looking for one with a natural finish. While RMS describes UnCoverup to provide a light finish I actually found it to lean medium coverage. If comparing to another popular cream concealer by Lily Lolo, RMS’ is not as creamy as Lily Lolo’s.

UnCoverup Concealer is made with organic coconut oil, beeswax and castor seed oil.

Ingredients: *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol(non-GMO), *Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, and may contain [+/-]: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499) *CERTIFIED ORGANIC

RMS Lip2Cheek Cream

The RMS Lip2Cheek Cream is one of the best products in RMS’ lineup. It’s a multi-purpose color cream for both eyes and cheeks, but I find it more suited as a blush. Lip2Cheek is great at adding color to the lips but isn’t very moisturizing.

Demure is a beautiful Rose mauve pink shade with fantastic pigmentation that’s buildable. I’m wearing Demure on both my lips and cheek in the above shot (direct sunlight).

The finish is natural and not dewy. In comparison to ILIA Multi-Stick, RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek has somewhat stronger pigment power.

RMS Eyelights Cream Eyeshadow

Another standout from the RMS Beauty line is their cream eyeshadow. It’s neither tacky nor sparkly and feels like a sophisticated product, which isn’t often the case for cream eyeshadows for me. Or I should say, liquid eyeshadow as Eyelights is not a traditional cream pot eyeshadow but a liquid-cream in a tube.

Finish: Metallic (RMS describes it as light reflective but I find it to lean metallic)

Pigmentation: Can be used for a sheer, subtle wash of color and buildable to a very bold metallic eye

Flare is a universally flattering light brown-gold shade. While RMS Eyelights can be used for a subtle hint of color on the eyes, I find that using it for a bold metallic eye brings me more joy. It’s possible to overdo it, because the cream can clump if you use too much product.
